"I don't want it." Aihara Kotoko from the F class (the class with the 'worst' students ^^;;) is shocked and very upset when Irie Naoki from the A class (the class with the cream of the students) rejected her love-letter flatly. Everyone soon learnt about it (because Kotoko gave the love-letter to Naoki at the school front gate, where everyone could see!) and keeps gossiping about her, thus infuriating the heartbroken and crying Kotoko. Kotoko then runs off , crying. (Irie Naoki has an IQ of around 200 and has gotten the 1st in Japan during a national examination. He is extremely handsome ^^ but shows no interest in girls at all.) Kotoko recalls the opening
ceremony (the ceremony held during the first term of school) when she was a
Year 1 student... that was the first time she had seen Naoki... and Kotoko
fell immediately in love with Naoki at that very moment... ^_^ Kotoko
told herself that she has given up on Naoki because he is a heartless guy. On the way home with Zinko,
Kin and his two buddies (who always do whatever Kin says), her friends, upon
knowing that Kotoko's house has just been built, suggested that they find a
day to go to Kotoko's house. Then, Naoki and Watanabe (Naoki's friend)
appeared and One day, Satomi, Zinko, Kin and his buddies came to visit Kotoko at her house. (Kin keeps on calling Kotoko's father 'Father' ^^;;). Unexpectedly, Kotoko's house (and ONLY Kotoko's house ^^;;) collapses due to a minor earthquake. The next day at school, everyone knows about Kotoko's house collapsing and starts gossiping again. In addition to Kotoko's blues, she found Kin and his buddies standing at the school's front gate raising funds to help the 'homeless Kotoko'! Just when Kotoko is telling Kin to stop it, Naoki appears! Kin then blames Naoki for the collapse of Kotoko's house. Naoki then donates, but is stopped by the angry Kotoko who shouts out loud that he thinks too low of Kotoko and that it is a waste of time that she has been in love with him for two years. [hmm... cool ^.^] In a taxi, Kotoko's father tells Kotoko that they will be living with a good friend of his. When they reached the house, Kotoko found out that the house belongs to an Irie family! She began wondering, in horror, whether the house belongs to THAT Irie family (i.e. Irie Naoki). And... it turned out that her father's friend's son IS Irie Naoki!!! She was more than horrified. Naoki's mother then appeared,
saying happily that Kotoko is such an adorable girl ^_^. Kotoko thought that
Naoki's mother is very pretty. (By the way, Naoki's mother has always been
longing for a daughter... therefore she was really, really happy when she
found out that Kotoko is staying with them.) She then saw Naoki's younger
brother (Irie Yuuki) who is in Primary 3. Naoki's mother then brings Kotoko to her room, which was decorated very, very 'girly-ly'. Naoki then added that that room used to be Yuuki's and that his room is very cramped now with Yuuki moving in. Naoki also said that her living in his house has got nothing to do with him and tells her not to influence his life. The next morning, Kotoko and Naoki went to school together (Naoki was told to tell Kotoko how to get to school from their house.) Naoki tells her that he will only lead her for once and that she has to keep a distance with him in case she gives him any trouble. [hmm... ^^;;] He also tells her not to tell anyone that they are living under the same roof to prevent gossips and not to talk to him in school. Kotoko got irritated after hearing that. In the crowded train, Kotoko was having a hard time squeezing through while Naoki was relaxingly reading a book [*sigh*... tall people...]. Just then, Kotoko felt that someone was molesting her! =O She did not know what to do and hoped that Naoki would save her. To her utter disgust, Naoki ignored her despite seeing and knowing the trouble Kotoko was in! After they had alighted, Kotoko asked angrily why Naoki didn't save her and Naoki said that it wasn't really a serious matter...! In school, Kotoko told her friends that she wanted to beat Naoki in the mid-year exams ^^;;. Everyone had a good laugh and Kotoko, realising that it is impossible, said instead that she wanted to be on the 'Top 100 List'. Everyone deemed it impossible because no one in the F class has ever gotten on the list before. Kotoko was determined... "at least we have to be on the same piece of paper," she said. At night in her room, Kotoko was having trouble revising ^^;;. Then Mama (Naoki's mother) came into the room with supper for her. Kotoko then learnt from Mama that Naoki never, or seldom, studies at all, even though he always manages to be the top... Kotoko, surprised, then told herself that he IS a genius...! [*sigh*... if only I'm like Naoki... ^^;;] Kotoko's determination began to waver. Then Mama showed Kotoko Naoki's childhood pictures... and to her extreme surprise, she found out that Naoki had been dressed up as a girl when he was young ^^;;! She could not help but giggle when she saw Naoki the next morning. In school, Naoki goes to
Kotoko's classroom and tells her to go out for a while with her bag...
because Mama had given Naoki Kotoko's lunch box and vice versa. Kotoko then
remarks with a smirk that maybe Naoki will even wear Kotoko's uniform
mistakenly... because Naoki used to wear skirts when young. Kotoko then
flashed one of the pictures of Naoki dressing up like a girl. Naoki was, of
course, shocked and demanded that Kotoko return it back to him. Kotoko
says that she will only return it to him if he gives her tuition in
preparation for the mid-year exams, otherwise she will make copies of the
picture and give it to everyone in school ^^;;. Naoki reluctantly agrees,
saying that he cannot guarantee that she will get into the 'Top 100 List'.
Kotoko was overjoyed. During the tuition, Kotoko was impressed because Naoki seemed like a teacher; Naoki was shouting at Kotoko because she hardly knew how to do any questions at all. Mama even snapped some pictures without them knowing, of course. ^^;; On the day of the exam, in school, Kotoko rushed past Naoki before he went into his classroom and thanked him. To Kotoko's surprise, Naoki said 'do your best' in reply. ^_^ When the exams finally ended, Kotoko was quite confident of her results because many of the questions Naoki taught her came out for the exams ^.^ . When the results came out, Kotoko rushed out to check if Naoki got 1st, which was obviously true (Naoki even got full marks! =O)... she was worried that after tutoring her through nights, he would not be able to have a good sleep. She also told herself that she would not be able to get in the top 100. Meanwhile, Naoki was also rushing to see the results and instead of seeing the front part of the paper (where the 1st, etc are listed), he went to see the back part... ^_^. He was surprised to find out that Kotoko was the 100th! He then turned to go off but saw Kotoko. Kotoko congratulated him and Naoki told her that she had gotten into the list. Kotoko, who didn't know about it at first, saw her name on the list and was overjoyed [to put it mildly]. Kotoko then returned him the picture and as Naoki was walking off, she shouted (to Naoki's horror), "Thank you Irie-kun!"
The next day at school, everyone was praising Kotoko, which was beaming with pride and joy ^^;;. Kinnosuke felt that there was something amiss with Kotoko and followed Kotoko home ^^;;. He then found out that Naoki and Kotoko are living together! As can be expected, the indignant Kin verified the matter openly ^^;; with Kotoko the next day in class. Everyone took it as a joke, however, but... Kotoko opened the luck-charm (that Mama gave to Kotoko on the day of the exams) and it contained the photos Mama took when Naoki and Kotoko were studying together!!!... Kotoko had to admit that Naoki and she are living under the same roof and that Naoki tutored her for the mid-year exams. The next day, there was
a poster on the notice board... and it says that Naoki and Kotoko are living
together...!!! [hmm... was it the F-class or Mama?] Naoki was
infuriated and told Kotoko that she has brought a lot of trouble upon him.
Kotoko ran off, crying. She told herself that she still likes Naoki. At night, while Kotoko was lying on the table sleeping (with tears in her eyes because she was thinking about her pathetic love-letter), Naoki came into her room and seeing the love-letter on the table... he read it (unknown to Kotoko)! He then looks as Kotoko [seems to me that his eyes has feelings ^.^... *shrug*, doesn't he?]. The next day, Naoki helped Kotoko when she was being molested by two hands in the train (Kotoko's back was aching therefore she couldn't handle such cases as she did before)... ^_^. One day, Kotoko and her father prepared a meal to thank the Irie family for their hospitality. It was also then that the Irie family witnessed Kotoko's lack of culinary skills ^^;;. Mama then said, smiling, that Kotoko can marry into their family (i.e. to Naoki). However, even though the elders (i.e. Naoki's and Kotoko's fathers) agreed readily, Kotoko [well...], Yuuki and Naoki disagreed. Naoki then read out
Kotoko's love-letter to the shocked Kotoko (who didn't know nor
expect that Naoki read the letter), Yuuki, Mama (who was extremely glad
about the fact that Kotoko like Naoki ^^), Papa and Kotoko's father. Kotoko,
in her anger, slapped Naoki, thus sparking off an argument between the two.
Just However, to everyone's surprise and Kin's horror, Naoki replied that he cannot be sure of such things because people's feelings can change. Naoki then added that Kotoko likes him more than she likes Kinnosuke. ^.^ Kotoko could not believe that Naoki would say those things. It turned out that the next day, there was another poster on the notice board saying that Kotoko and Naoki have decided to get married. Next >

then, Kinnosuke appeared out of the window ^^;; and remarked that it is not
